XPENG plans to begin mass production of its IRON humanoid robot by the end of 2026, start deliveries in the first half of 2027 and launch European promotion in the second half, according to a timetable presented by chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng at the company’s Paris event on October 12.

The robot will initially serve commercial settings such as stores and shopping malls, with industrial and household applications planned later. XPENG has commissioned a dedicated production line and demonstrated an IRON unit completing automated assembly and walking off the line. The robot supports multimodal interaction, face recognition and conversation memory, with communication in Chinese, English and German. [Humanoids Daily]
