BYD’s luxury brand Yangwang has named its upcoming executive flagship sedan Altior, known as Dingyao in China, ahead of a planned debut in the United Arab Emirates in early November. The model was previously identified by the internal codename HU.
An official teaser shows a large sedan with rear-hinged rear doors, a roof-mounted lidar sensor and front-end styling related to the Yangwang U8 SUV. The car extends Yangwang’s lineup into the ultra-luxury executive sedan segment. BYD has not yet announced pricing or detailed powertrain specifications.
