BYD plans to hold an overseas launch event for its Yangwang luxury vehicle brand, the company said in a record of its September 29 shareholder meeting. It did not give a date or location for the event.
The company also said it expects its Brazil plant to produce about 250,000 vehicles this year and its Hungary plant to begin production soon. The Yangwang event would form part of BYD’s broader effort to build its premium brands outside China. [CFi, in Chinese]
