Xi’an Jiaotong University technology-transfer company Blue Insect Embodied has launched its modular Mantis Standard humanoid robot, also known as “Xiaobai,” at a starting price of RMB 9,800.
The robot’s chassis, arms, waist and head use standardized modules connected through quick-install interfaces. It has 22 degrees of freedom, a 7-kilogram single-arm payload, a 663-millimeter arm span and teleoperation latency below 10 milliseconds. Its waist can lift through 550 millimeters, while the omnidirectional base supports three degrees of freedom, a 3-meter-per-second forward speed and three hours of battery life. [Phoenix, in Chinese]
