Alipay plans to launch an AI wallet agent to help users manage AI payments as it shifts its focus from merely enabling transactions to making them trustworthy, the company said at the 2026 Bund Summit.
The agent will support Vibe Pay, Skill Pay and Machine Pay, along with e-commerce functions such as recurring purchases, assisted buying and assisted booking. It will be built on Ant Group’s APASS trust infrastructure and KYA framework, which cover an agent’s identity, intent, authorization and behavior.
