Li Auto CEO Li Xiang said on Sept. 10 that the upcoming Li Auto i9 will be the flagship model debuting the company’s second-generation pure electric vehicle platform.
Li said the model will bring together Li Auto’s self-developed battery, electric motor, M100 chip and assisted-driving model for the first time. The company claims the i9 will have a drag coefficient of 0.215, the lowest among mass-produced SUVs globally.
The family-focused flagship SUV is scheduled to launch on Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Beijing time. It appeared in China’s July vehicle approval list with a length of 5,225 mm and a wheelbase of 3,168 mm. [IT Home, in Chinese]
