Xpeng has activated an automated production line for humanoid robots, with what the company describes as the first high-level general-purpose humanoid robot completing assembly and walking off the line autonomously.
The production line was designed for mass production and has an automation rate of more than 80% in its core processes. Xpeng plans to begin volume production by the end of 2026 and start deliveries in China and overseas markets in 2027. [Yicai, in Chinese]
