WeChat Pay has launched a software development kit for smart-glasses makers, with Rokid AI Glasses among the first products to support it. Users can initiate a payment scan by voice, look at a QR code and slide the glasses’ temple to confirm the transaction.
The SDK currently requires a connected smartphone and supports QR-code payments at places such as convenience stores, markets and street stalls. The base version has a daily limit of RMB 200 and remains in beta. [IT Home, in Chinese]
