WeChat is testing a shortcut that lets users view all unread chats by long-pressing the “WeChat” icon in the lower-left corner of the app’s home screen. The feature is currently being rolled out to a limited group of users.
WeChat also highlights a reminder that places “red envelope” or “transfer” prompts in the upper-right corner of a chat when an unpaid or unclaimed payment is still waiting. Tapping the prompt takes users back to the relevant message. [Cailian Press, in Chinese]
