BYD and Sinopec have converted a Shanghai gas station into a BYD Flash Charging flagship station, ending the site’s fuel operations. The station, located at 1209 Huqingping Road, is now operated as a charging site, while Sinopec’s Easy Joy convenience store remains open.
The conversion follows a cooperation framework signed by the two companies in June covering fast-charging networks, integrated services and supply-chain cooperation. The project marks the first visible rollout of their plan to combine charging infrastructure with Sinopec’s retail network. [BYD]
