Chinese developer S-GAME has delayed the release of Phantom Blade Zero from September 9 to October 29, announcing the change during Sony’s latest State of Play presentation. Following speculation online that the shift was intended to avoid competing with major September releases, including Rockstar Games titles, S-GAME CEO Liang Qiwei dismissed the claims.
In comments to PC Gamer, Liang said the decision was not driven by marketing considerations or competitive scheduling. Instead, he said the additional development time is being used to fix bugs, improve overall polish, and enhance stability, ensuring players do not need to download a large day-one patch at launch.
